5) FLYING FOREST: Goal = Rune / find Atea / Extra life bar Items = none
Stuff should be showing you which elevator to take in the world elevator area to complete this mission. By now you should have a mana capacity of 100, boomie, board, gloves and hopefully the next (yellow) bracelet.
The elevator lets you out where the 2 blue whales were blocking the path to the receptacle slide (they are back and are usually good for a silver nootie or two). Take that air cannon by the whales to return to the factory area (and the cave you couldn't climb before).
Go in and climb – the path is pretty obvious. Watch out for the green dudes. At the top right platform you will jump to another platform. Above you will be a climbing net, jump up and ‘climb’ (square) to grab on and follow that to the wooden platform, jump from there to the opening and the bomb machine.
Notice the switch – get a bomb and put it on the platform next to the switch Then hit the switch (without you on it, just the bomb) it will go up and nail the 2 Wolfen above you, then take the platform up and exorcise them. There is only one way to go up here, towards the amber and what looks like a river.
Get life, hit the switch and wait for a platform to come floating by, get on it. Dodge partial walls, nail spiders (hanging stuff) and as soon as you see climbing stuff above you jump and grab it. Make your way to just before the wind (watch the spider) and wait for it to stop the drop on to the next platform coming your way. 3 spiders coming up then the platform turns right into open air. Jump over the 2 boards in your way, staying on the platform and when you get to the land jump up. There are 2 big spiders, nail them, and a ton of little ones... get them too – it feels good. Take the slide (a short one)
When you land you are on a narrow cliff overlooking where you started (2 blue whales). There is amber and a bomb machine, get a bomb and get it next to the rocks to blow them... now the climbing path is open. Climb up. At the top jump up and sneak immediately to the crates in front of you... stay in sneak mode. Go right, sticking to the boxes, until you hit the gap – wait until the Wolfen are not looking then cross the gap heading for the room.
Choice: you can get these 2 Wolfen now (making life easier later on) or skip them for now. To get them now break the window in the room, jump thru, let the Wolfen see you but get behind the tall boxes quick. They will come after you, let them come and attack them when they are very close. They don’t shoot if you are close enough to fight, instead they swing the guns at you. One may stand back and shoot - just knock out the other fast and take cover, the one left will come after you. Just use the boxes to block the gun fire and get them to fight you until you get them. If you need more life climb down where you came up and get it then come back to the room.
Room: climb up to the next level inside the room – there is a platform, go out on it and look right, wait for the box thing to come by and pause, then jump on the wood sticking out (on all 4 sides) closest to you. Ride that until it stops (at another platform) and then use the platform to get to the wood (forward and right) away from the fortress). Continue the ride until you hear/see the smashing thing hitting the boxes, listen carefully as the sound tells you when the box will turn, at that moment jump up and the box will turn without you and you will land on a new platform. If you fall off run back towards the way you came and there are crates you can use to get back up – past the crates is a switch to open the fence so you don’t have to go the long way should you die and need to come back up. Take this ride towards the end, after the smashing you will see an island with amber below you, fall down there, get life and wait for a new box platform to come by on the lower level. When it does jump IN the box, [L2] to crouch in place. Ride this, hiding, past 2 wolfen with guns, just past them is a wall and the box stops – get out Immediately! Go to the vines and hit the switch on the other side with your boomie opening the all the gates in. To the left is another gate – this is the entrance to the air post and you can’t access it until you have the last boomie. To the right you will see some boxes and a small platform with a switch.
Choice: You can get the rest of the Wolfen here now and the extra life bar (saving time later) or skip it.
To get the rune & get Atea: get up on the platform, stand in between the bars and hit the switch, this shoots you way up into the sky. Go into the entrance get the rune and watch a movie. After the movie you are trapped until you nail the gray worm beast. Note the 6 lava spots on his chest, you need to hit each one with your boomie. Use the platforms to the left and right to reach each level. He spits lava at you, you can hit it with your boomie to get it out of your way. When you hit a spot on his chest he spews like 5 or so lava blasts in an arc at you, run. You will do a lot of running back and forth, just keep trying until you get them all. Once he’s defeated the lava goes away and you see a door behind where he was, go in it, take and elevator ride up. You ‘hear’ from Atea – and hear his capture. At the top is another elevator, some crates and a Jamgut. Go look at it so it tells you that you need the whistle. You’re done here for now, you need to come back later with the while. Take the elevator back to Nativ City. To get back to the Wolfen take another elevator back to the whales, now you can climb up the wall to the fortress.
To get the Wolfen and life bar:
From the back (platform) sneak and get to the ramp near the front gate.
From the front, (easier) sneak into the entrance, hug the wall going right and up the ramp.
Follow the platform up, left and left again to the cannon. Get on the cannon and look around. The only way to get to you is to the right. As soon as you fire they all come running. Aim for the one closes to you on the right and keep the cannon headed that way shooting them down. If they get to you and shoot you off get out of site then sneak back. Keep doing this until you have all the Wolfen. Most take 2 hits. Note the positions of the Wolfen via your map and look for their blue number floating above them. A tricky one is at the fence to the right of the cannon behind the bomb machine. Once you’ve got them – look left and see the glowing gold thing at the same level as you – that’s your extra life. Get off the cannon and walk around (exorcising as you go) to get there. The gate is closed but to the left is a green button. Get close and hit it really fast over and over until the gate stays open, then get the life bar thing. Staying on the platform walk around and clean up the crates and Wolfen, go to the opposite end (near where you caught the 2nd lower box) and there is a bomb machine, get bombs and kick them at the 2 Wolfen left that you hid from in the box, they both take 2 hits. The closest is easiest, use the moving platform to help get the farthest. Jump down and clean up.
Essentially you are done here; you only need to come back after getting the last boomie to go to the air post.
6) Hunters Domain: Goal = Save Atea Items = None, Object, use jamgut to reach wolfen camp.
Go back to where the jamgut was via Shell Elevator (you should have the whistle now), get the jamgut - with him you can get the crates behind the fences. To the left of where the jamgut originally was is a gap in the wall with a fence, smash on thru. Just the other side behind the rocks on each side is a bunch of mana. You need to run the course - the jamgut will run down the few wolfen you find (you need to get off to exorcise them). No rush! Take your time and collect nooties and mana. Watch the big spitting spiders things, you can run them down but will take damage if their spit hits you.. the vines will reduce your life as well, jump over them.
Hint: most vines are low enough to jump where ever, esp at the start of the course, but a few are high or over white rocks. Look for the lowest point, aim for it and jump there. In each section look for hidden crates. There are a few.
You will come across a solitary wolfen, carefully run him down (watch cliffs so he doesn't go over and force you to do this again). Get off jamgut to exorcise him. You will come to an area with big boulders find the low spot and jump, a hidden crate is near where you jumped on the side you jumped to. At the end of this stretch is a cliff (after tunnel) jump down - (2) wolfen, carefully run them down then exorcise them too. Go to the wall, leave the jamgut and climb over, get blue whale. To your left (vines) is a wooden walkway, jump first vine and [L2] under 2nd. Open the Shell Elevator. Look for tunnel into cliff.. there is a spitting spider in there, be carful. Take him out and get mana. Other side of tunnel is a switch and you hear 2 green guys, they are on the platform the switch controls - they will fall onto you if you get close, hit the switch and watch out. Get on platform and boomie the switch to go up. At the top see the moving board, wait until it's up and use it to jump across. Hide behind wooden wall. Note the gap in the wall. When the wolfen are not looking step to it and hit the one on the farthest right then hide again (but adjust your camera to watch), when he's not looking hit him again. He will get mad and go beat up one of the other wolfen for you. Repeat to get him to take care of the other wolfen, then go get him - exorcise all 3. To the Left is a bunch of mana - straight is a hill up. Go up and look around. See the broken bridge - remember this you'll be back in a few to use it - look towards the amber. Going that way, staying left, go to the bridge, use the boomie to break the rope and lower the bridge, cross and climb. 2 wolfen at the top, carefully get them (watch the ledges, hit a few times and get away from edge if necessary, they will follow you away from ledge, if they go over you need to die or leave and come back to get them). Look around, see the bridge with the crate. There are 3 wolfen on the platform that leads to. Go on it, they will see you, shoot at you then come for you.. let them come to the land (easier to fight there than on the bridge). Usually only 2 come, take care of them. If one is left over there, behind the tree, sneak up and knock him off the platform. Jump down and exorcise him. Go to next one, climb up and hide behind the rock. When their (2 wolfen) backs are turned sneak up behind them and knock them off too. They will fall into a fenced area with a jamgut and 3 more wolfen. Drop down and get on the jamgut.. run down the 3 wolfen left. When you have them all come back and exorcise away. Use the amber if you need to. Take the jamgut back to that first hill with the broken bridge, use him to jump the gap and take the narrow path - there are 2 steep hills, jump up this carefully with the jamgut. It's a short run. At the end, get on the platform and stand on the button. Take a ride. When it stops with jamgut get off, go to wall and climb. At the top, go all the way left and drop down. Adjust your camera angle so you can see from above, watch the red laser pattern and dodge it down towards the wolfen (away from wall) they won't see you unless you get in the laser. Go left, and dodge again going back to the wall you jumped from. Use the opening on the right to pause and then go foward (back?) and right again. Towards the wall (bottom of screen) is 3 crates - turn around, see another crate and amber.. fill up. Open the door (hit the green target) and fight a big wolfen. If you are losing life you can run out of the room to the amber and get more, he won't follow but he will wait for you - you just need to fight him. On the ground floor - where the wolfen came from at the rear of the cave - is a room with a map showing the wolfen for this domain. There are a bunch of crates, ignore them for now. To the right of the ramp (which leads to the 2 laser wolfen) is a crate, use it to jump up, sneak up behind them and knock them off the ledge (or fight) you can go back down and around after you get the to exorcise them. Get back to the room when done, get all the crates, and (facing the ramp) go Right. Jump the gap, look at the wall (left) and hit the switch to open the door, go get the jamgut you just left and come back, continue to the next 'island' and put the jamgut on the wooden platform, get off. Take the wind Up, get the blue whale, hit the switch to bring the jamgut up. Get him and take the path. Jump, get a spitting spider, now your in a new area with amber. Get off jamgut, leave him near the door (and amber). To the right of the amber is the door, and to the left is wind. Leaving the jamgut use the wind to get around the wall, look around before getting out - find the dog house (near the bomb machine). Using yourself as bait, land - quickly adjust your camera to watch the dog and dodge him. The goal is to get him to jump into the wind without getting you. Trickier than it sounds. Fortunately once you do this he doesn't come back. If he goes over the ledge (without wind) he does.
Hint: when you jump away from the dog go at an angle, out of his path.
After the dog is gone, look at the door - step on the button to open it, you can get your jamgut now, but first you need to clear the path. Over near the dog house is a bomb machine (other side of narrow gap) get the mana, but you don't need to jump over to get the bomb, just hit it with your boomie (near edge) and it lands on your side of the land. Before this find your target, find the broken bridge piece, when you go there "Stuff" tells you what you need to do. Get a bomb, kick it to the rocks and use your boomie to blow it when it's there. Now you can get your jamgut and jump the gap - don't jump until you are at the edge or you won't make it. A running start seems to help.
Across the gap, there is some floating mana, you need magic bouncers to get up here, remember where it is, you'll need to come back. Go past here to the left with the jamgut, to the Hunters Dungeon. Jump the spike wall and a gap. Open the Shell Elevator. Now you have 2 choices. Left is the way to the Quarry via the wind tower. You need the 2nd boomie to do this.. you'll come back later for it. Right is Hunters Dungeon, where you need to go. Stand on the platform & button, watch a movie. Get off the platform at the end, follow the ledge (get some crates). You will see an area to the Left of you, you can't get there yet but you will be there soon. Take the jamgut thru the tunnel (follow the ledge). Climb the wall and hit a switch on the other side to open the door and get the jamgut again. Jump the gap and put the jamgut on the wooden platform, get on the crate (when it's near) and ride it across the gap. Get off, hit the switch to bring the platform (with the jamgut) back. Get on (you can ride it back and forth to get the mana) keep going forward. There is a gap to jump and a short path to the right. Go get another wolfen (carefully, run him down with the jamgut) and some crates. Go back and jump the gap. Get life if necessary. Leave jamgut on platform to the right of the wall, get off and go to amber, climb wall and drop down other side. Work your way past the wind, you can boomie the green guy on the other side thru the wind before you get there. After the 3rd wind tunnel is a platform to jump (don't run or you will fall over and die). Follow path, get the blue whale and hit the switch to bring the jamgut over to you. Jump the gap, get the green guys & crates. Continue path and "Stuff" will tell you what to do. Hit the target, get jamgut running close to crate - stand and grab on. Get to the top and ride until it stops. Jump down on wooden platform, walk across to roof - get a big wolfen (knock him off to the ground) - go to the roof and find the rope/rock, break rope with boomie to lower bridge, jump down and get 2 more wolfen on the ground. In the room is a mana beast and amber.. fill'er up. Clean up crates, then take the bridge you lowered across. On the other side an orange lava bug pops out of the ground, dodge his lava spit and whack him a few times with your boomie. Inside the cave are 3 more, who spit farther. The first one is straight ahead, one to the left and one behind the pillar at the door. Get them all, hit the door with your boomie and go get the jamgut waiting for you. Bring him back this way to the room area. To the Left of the room (facing it) is a broken bridge gap, jump it. Take a short path to another cave with 3 more wolfen, they run from you - run them down, exorcise them. Past the building are 3 cages. The first is opened with the switch - pick up some nooties. On this side of the room are some crates, stand back on your jamgut and boomie them all. The bottom (darker) one is a bomb. When they are gone take the jamgut there, stand on his back and climb to the roof. Drop in and hit switch (open middle gate) and green target (open door) go back to the jamgut - go in middle cage and clean up some more. 3 cage is harder, you need the last boomie (i think, never did manage to drop the rock). Moving on, go thru the door near cages, leave jamgut and climb. Other side has a door with a floor button. Open and walk in - get a message from Atea.
7) Hunters Domain: Goal: Save Atea
After Atea's message, You now have a Shell Elevator (open it) and 3 things.. a room, a fortress and a gate. Forget the fortress and gate for now. If you have enough nooties go see what new shops are open and buy bracelets and fun things like that before you go save Atea.
When you come back, go into the room (there is amber here) drop down hole in floor past amber, slide (watch where you are going, use Slow Down to avoid obstacles. Eventually you're dropped on to a platform, time your jump to the next slide section (avoid the white claw things) and slide some more. When you get near the end a movie take over.. see Atea and his bird in a cage, the bird tells you to hit a switch, go hit it when the movie is over then go flying.
Hint: watch the cage, it will show you where you are going, try to stay centered on it where possible.
When you land on another platform, you need to fight the Hunter now. He's in the floating skull throwing bombs at you. Every other bomb is electrical and nails you - dodge those. Get the other ones and kick them to the 4 balloons (2 each side) and use your boomie to blow the balloons with the bombs. Once you get all 4 the mouth of the skull opens and it spits fire. It's a pretty slow process. You need to land 3 bombs in there to finish off the Hunter. Dodge the electrical and watch the mouth, as it starts glowing white (best time to land a bomb in there) it's about to start spitting fire. Run behind the rocks to avoid that but watch for falling bombs. Try not to stand in one place to long and watch the timer on 'your' bombs now. You also need to watch the flames on the platform. Once you get him there is a bridge across the gap where he was. Take the bridge, talk to Atea and open a shell elevator. You're done here now, follow Atea back to Nativ City for another movie and some more info.
Back at Nativ City, if you don't have them yet, get the 2nd boomie, magic bouncers and whatever bracelets you can. You need to get each bracelet in order (it won't let you get them out of order). You should have plenty of nooties to get these things by now. If not, get the boomie and bouncers and go back to the start of the sewer so you can get the fortress.
8) Hunters Domain: Goal: Rune and a thousand or so nooties Items = 2nd boomie and bouncers.
Ignore the gate and look at the fortress, see the 2 rock walls in front of it.. get to the first, lurk to the 2nd (avoiding the lasers) and use your boomie to hit the target Stuff points out to drop the gate next to it. Use your bouncers to get up the wall to the roof.
Drop into the room, aim and hit the green dot on the top of the red target. This turns off the light beams blocking the door. 2nd room, step on the floor button (open front door - you can see the rock walls you used a second ago) then aim and get the 2 red dots on the next red target. 3rd room, out the window, climb wall to the left.
Straight up is 2 big wolfen. Get 'em. Watch the roof edges, the one back towards the narrow walkway has a floor (knock them down to knock them out) the other edges drop them into oblivion.
Straight ahead is a narrow walk way.. the 2 laser carrying wolfen are in niche's in the wall.. sneak up to the first one, grab his tail and pull him back, knock him down into the room to the Right of the walkway, the other should be coming after you, knock him down too. Jump down and exorcise them.
Go back to the room with the window ledge, climb up but this time go right when you see the turn in the vine wall. Get on the next roof. Drop down, look thru the door to the flower and the dog walking in circles around it, when the dog is to the left of the flower (there are spinning spikes on the wall on that side) hit the flower with your boomie, it knocks the dog into the spikes. Go into the room, past the flower is a floor button at the wall - step on it, to the left of you is a climbing wall.. go up it. The button placed a platform in the big gap over the flower, go to there and cross to the next roof.
You're now on a roof with a switch and a bomb machine, hit the switch a few times and find the platform next to the bomb machine, bring the platform down and kick a bomb onto it and jump on with it, hit the switch for a ride back up with the bomb, kick it into the rocks.
Drop into the hole the rocks blocked, get crates and go thru next door, drop again. This room has mana beast, amber is in the room after - fill up. After amber room is a room with dogs, look thru the door, see the boxes in front of you. Rut to them and jump up quick. Grab vine/rope above you and climb across room to ledge. Drop down.
Break the window and drop in the room. Open the door (to the room with the dogs), outside other door is a bomb machine, get a bomb (dogs should be barking at you at the door - if not go in just enough to get them there) kick the bomb to the dogs.. let it blow, it will take out the dogs.
Now the way is clear to the amber and mana should you need it (you will). Go out bomb door but go left this time, take walk way... boomie the boxes in your way and get the big wolfen and 2 small just past them, refill life if you need it.
Look in windows of the rooms - you will see the rune (left) and a room with rocks (right), you can't get the rune from here but this is where you're working your way to. Behind the rune room (left from the walkway) is an air cannon, take it - it will land you back on the other side of the gate near the shell elevator, there are 2 wolfen and some crates here, land (on the flower) get the wolfen, open the gate (find the button) get crates and take this cannon back to where you just came from.
In the building after the rune (other side of cannon) there is a door with a step next to it which opens the door. Open the door, walk in and go straight to the far wall / platform. Look around, see the red lines on the floor - touch them and free about 3 dogs - not good, instant death. You need to carefully jump the platforms across the room (mana shows you where they are), at the other end is a climbing wall - go up.
On the roof is a wolfen. Get him. Past where he was standing is a wall to a higher building, hit the green target near the top. This starts some elevators (you don't have to do the dog room again) from the ground to the places you've reached. Jump across to the platform on the other building. If you fall take an elevator up to the roof you jumped from. Go left from the platform.
Get the spiders (use AIM boomie) then grab the climbing rope across the spikes. Drop down on the other side and step on the switch (starts elevator to get you back here easier if you fall). stand at edge and break the window with your boomie to the room your outside of. Jump on in and get 3 more wolfen. Watch out for the laser beam from opposite roof.
The window to the right of where you entered the room has a floor button on an exterior ledge, step on it and go left (outside of room) and climb up the vine. Get on the platform at the top to the left. Find the mana, take the crates up.
Here you can take a ride to another building or jump the wall to the right and get a wolfen, I recommend getting the wolfen then take then drop down to the ground and take the elevator back up to the room and come back to the crates. Grab the bars over head and ride to the next area (stand in the middle just under them and jump).
When you land you knock a wolfen into some crates, clean up and go to where the wolfen was standing when you whacked into him.. look around.
To the left and right are circular platforms, straight is a lower roof with a gun wolfen. Carefully get him (use sneak) jump back up to this ledge then jump to the platform to the right (closest) use that to get to the next one then jump to the 3rd.
Get the button on the 3rd then get the wolfen on the roof below you. Walk the roof, get some amber and stand on the button - pay attention to what it shows you! Go drop thru the big hole that isn't blocked and duplicate the pattern the wolfen just showed you to get thru the door. In the next room is the wolfen you watched, get him.
Open the door - this is the rock room you looked at before - open the door to the outside and go get a bomb (same place you got it from for the dogs) and run/kick it to the rocks to get them out of your way. Drop down the hole uncovered when you blew the rocks and drop into the tunnel, watch out for 3 green spike guys. Next room, climb up wall to the right of you.
Now you are in a vault room. There are 2 vaults. The one on the left has something like over a thousand nooties - do this first. You need to hit the dots on the door to get them all green. Try a few times and you will see the pattern. Get the nooties then come back out. Get the next vault - same idea - all green. Get the rune, exit the rooms from here. Take the cannon back to the shell elevator and go back to Nativ City, buy whatever you still need. If you don't need anything you can go for the quarry (2nd button from the right on the Shell Elevator).
