horror movies
Ok, I love scary movies.. unfortunately it's hard to find a
movie these days that actually scares me. But I love 'em almost
as much as I love scary books (they are always much scarier).
:: hannibal
:: not as impressive as 'silence of the lambs' this sequil
is worth a view for true horror fans at least once, and not
right before or after a meal - preferably in broad daylight.
they were quite graphic in some sceans - for once i wish they
didn't follow the book quite so well. i don't scare easy either,
and this didn't scare me or even give me 'the creeps' like
silence managed to, but i was definitely nauseaus.
horror movies : late night scary : lights off!
christine
This movie was my first introduction to true horror, well the
first one I really 'got into'. I had seen Poltergeist before
but it scared me to death (clowns still freak me out) and I
shut my eyes through most of it. Until Christine. I even named
my firsts car Christine.. a 1967 Ford Mustang, cherry red. Man
I miss that car. The only thing I ever regret was selling that
car. I digress though.
A group of high school kids, the Jock - the Nerd - the Beauty.
The jock is best friends with the nerd and both are in love
with the Beauty. Pretty standard stuff. The nerd want's to be
cool like the jock, in high school the car makes the man.. soo
he get's the car. A 1958 Plymouth Fury. Christine. Christine
needs some work and the Nerd can do it, and he does. So, Christine
takes care of him in return, he becomes cool - the bullies who
hound him .. well they stop. And the nerd ceases to be a nerd...
and he ceases to be in control of himself as well.

hannibal
The sequil to 'Silence of the Lambs'. Third part in the Hannibal
Lecter book series.
Ok, I am very mixed about this movie. On it's own merits, it
is very well done and definitely worth the price. The story
is complete, there are appropriate references to 'silence' where
necessary. But, having read the book I was a little disappointed,
mostly in the ending.
In this long, but rather quick paced sequil you get to know
Dr. Lecter a bit better. Who he is, what he does and knows,
and what he is capable of. You also get to take a step into
one of his victims minds, it doesn't help that said victim was
beyond twisted to begin with. To bad they didn't fill in enough
about his mental state before Dr. Lecter met him. Perfect movie
for those studying criminal psychology ;) but a bit to visual
for me. Imagining some of those sceans as your reading them
is defenitly preferable to actually seeing them on screen, that
was a reality I didn't need.
