movies
ok you have seen the latest releases, watch pay-per-view until
your eyes fell out but still want something more. here are some
of my favorite movies, browse around maybe you will find something
new to delight you eyes and your brain!
family movies : kid friendly : not just disney
Family Movies : as implied
the movies on this page are 'family friendly' - 'kid tested'
and 'parent approved'
:: the princess
bride :: a fairy tale set in midevil times complete with
a princess, an evil prince and
:: labryinth ::
a fantasy about the Goblin King, illustrates the quote 'be
careful what you wish for, it just may come true' , starring
David Bowie - ya know it's gotta be good!
:: willow :: a tale
of evil queens, warriors, fairies and prophecy - classic good
against evil :)
chick flicks : with a twist : mom movies
Chick Flicks : ok, I'm not normally
one for chick flicks, but then I'm not normal either.
:: bridget
jones's diary :: omg, they made a movie about me! well,
ok not 'me' but basically me.. 30 something, single rethinking
life and how it should be. yep, she's more interesting but
the basics are all there.
:: city of angels
:: not many movies succeed in getting me to cry. the
music alone makes me cry now that i associate it with this
movie. quiet, passionate, thoght provoking. what would you
do for true love?
:: moulin rouge ::
yep another love story, except this one is on drugs. absinth
to be exact. while there are a few raunchy sex sceans not
to graphic but you definitely get the picture (no bare skin)
but excellent imagry, design, plot, story, costumes...
horror movies : late night scary : lights off!
Late Night Scary Movies
: Jason, Freddy and the gang have something for you, Carrie
said she would bring the drinks.
:: christine
:: classic, absolute classic. Stephen King's tale about
an absolutely evil car 'christine' brought to the silver screen,
one of the better adptations of his work as well.
::
silence of the lambs :: 'hello clarice.' can't you just
hear the voice. this has got to be one of the all time best
horror movies of all time. the psychological aspect just creeps
deep into your mind and takes week to shake.
:: hannibal
:: not as impressive as 'silence of the lambs' this sequil
is worth a view for true horror fans at least once, and not
right before or after a meal - preferably in broad daylight.
they were quite graphic in some sceans - for once i wish they
didn't follow the book quite so well in this part. i don't
scare easy either, and this didn't scare me or even give me
'the creeps' like silence managed to, but i was definitely
nauseaus.
